Terms of Service
Last updated October 10, 2026
These terms govern your use of the SigWise API, console, SDKs and docs (the “Service”), operated by SigWise (“SigWise”, “we”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent (“you”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
SigWise analyzes the events and messages you send about the objects on your platform and returns typed answers to the signals you define. We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we remove a material feature we will give you reasonable notice.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and be authorized to bind your organization.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including your API keys and their secrets. Keep them confidential, rotate them if they may be exposed, and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
3. Your data
You own the data you send to the Service (“Customer Data”) and the answers produced about it. You give us the right to process Customer Data only to provide and secure the Service for you, including sending it to the analysis providers listed on our Sub-processors page. You are responsible for having the right to send Customer Data to us, including any notices to and consents from the people it concerns. Where Customer Data includes personal data, our Data Processing Agreement applies.
You choose how long events are kept, and you can delete an object's data at any time. See Data retention.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use the Service to violate the rights of others;
- send special categories of personal data unless your use case requires it and you have a lawful basis;
- attempt to access another customer's data, probe or disrupt the Service, or bypass rate limits or usage controls;
- use the Service to build a competing model or product, or to reverse engineer it;
- resell the Service as a standalone offering without our written agreement.
We may suspend access that threatens the security or stability of the Service, and will tell you when we do.
5. Answers are probabilistic
The Service returns probabilities and classifications produced by AI models. They can be wrong. You are responsible for how you use them and for decisions made about your users, including any human review, appeal or notice that the law requires. Do not rely on an answer as the sole basis for a decision that has legal or similarly significant effects on a person unless you have lawful grounds and safeguards in place.
6. Fees and prepaid balance
- The Service is usage-based. There is no subscription. New accounts may receive free credit.
- You top up a prepaid balance, and each analysis is deducted at its price. Prices and current balance are shown in the console. We may change prices for future usage with notice in the console or by email.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. You are responsible for taxes, other than taxes on our income.
- Top-ups and promotional credit are non-refundable except where the law requires, and promotional credit has no cash value. If your balance runs out, analyses may be paused until you add funds.
7. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, SDKs, docs and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for your internal business purposes while these terms apply. You grant us a limited license to use Customer Data as described in section 3. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you.
8. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other's non-public information with the care it gives its own, use it only to perform or use the Service, and disclose it only to those who need it and are bound to confidentiality, or as the law requires.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Third-party providers, including the analysis providers, may be unavailable or throttle requests. See Reliability for how the Service behaves when they are.
10. Warranties and disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, and each party's total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Customer Data, or from your use of the Service in breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.
13. Term and termination
These terms apply until terminated. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach, with notice where practical. On termination we will delete Customer Data as described in the Data Processing Agreement, except records we must keep, such as billing records. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it.
15. General
These terms, together with the Data Processing Agreement and any order form signed by both parties, are the whole agreement. If a provision is unenforceable the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or sale of our business. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SigWise is established, unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
